Poetic Language

I think that poetic language is utilizing some of the tools people use in poems to convey a strong message with intensity in other forms of writing like prose. For example if you want to write describe the setting of a place in a novel you need to use imagery which is one of the elements poets include in their poetry in order to create strong images and impact the reader. I think poety language can be metaphors, alliteration, irony, symbolism, diction or simile.
